The Junior Section
The aim of our Junior Section is to provide a fun and safe environment for children to experience golf, to give them the opportunity to progress to their potential and to equip them with golfing and life skills that can be used and enjoyed for the rest of their lives.
The Junior Section is open to children of both sexes aged 5 to 16 years old. The aim of the Junior Section is to develop playing skills and encourage proper etiquette and manners on and off the course.
For those under 11 years old there is no charge and they must be accompanied by a playing member of the Club at all times both on and off the course. Membership fees for over 11s are low.
The Junior Section is run by a group of volunteer parents who are members of Shortlands Golf Club.
It is hoped that any parent putting their child forward will be willing to help in the organisation and development of the Section. The organiser’s contact details can be found in the Club Diary.
